Jamie Pollard

Softball

Positions: Catcher, 1st Base, & 2nd Base

CLASS:  2020

SCHOOL:  Perry County Central High School

HOMETOWN:  Bulan, KY

Coaches Quote:

“Jamie is the kind of player that makes our sport so special. She has worked hard to perfect her craft and loves being behind the plate. She takes command of the defense and helps her pitchers when they struggle. She keeps the ball off the backstop and has a cannon for an arm. She studies her opponents, knows their weaknesses and is able to call her own pitches.
As a hitter, she is far and above many players her age. She can hit for power or drop down the sacrifice bunt to advance a runner.
In the off-season she lives in the weight room and has really increased her strength over the past year. Jamie plays on several travel teams and all of her coaches admire the characteristics that i have just mentioned.
In the classroom she has a 4.0 GPA while taking some of the most difficult classes that our school offers. She is recognized as a leader among her peers and is very active in her community.”
